چکیده
Several researchers have investigated the role of texture as a basis for the recovery of surface orientation. Gibson 1 was the first to address the problem of recovering the orientation of a plane covered with textural elements. He assumed that the density (number of elements per unit area) of these elements is uniform. Under this assumption he observed that the density gradient in the image specifies surface orientation. More recently , Witkin addresses the problem of recovering the slant a and tilt r of a planar surface viewed under orthographic projection. Let /? be the angle which a tangent at a point of a surface marking makes with the projection of a fixed coordinate axis of the image plane and a the angle the projection of that tangent makes with the coordinate axis. Under orthographic projection then Witkin develops a geometric model which relates a to /?:

Fast Intra Mode Decision for Depth Map coding in 3D-HEVC Standard
three dimensional- high efficiency video coding (3D-HEVC) is the expanded version of the latest video compression standard, namely high efficiency video coding (HEVC), which is used to compress 3D videos. 3D videos include texture video and depth map. Since the statistical characteristics of depth maps are different from those of texture videos, new tools have been added to the HEVC standard fo...

In this paper we have investigated a new approach for texture features extraction using co-occurrence matrix from volumetric lung CT image. Traditionally texture analysis is performed in 2D and is suitable for images collected from 2D imaging modality. The use of 3D imaging modalities provide the scope of texture analysis from 3D object and 3D texture feature are more realistic to represent 3D ...
متن کاملDevelopment of 3D Chromatin Texture Analysis Using Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy
INTRODUCTION Analysis of nuclear texture features as a measure of nuclear chromatin changes has been proven to be useful when measured on thin (5-6 microm) tissue sections using conventional 2D bright field microscopy. The drawback of this approach is that most nuclei are not intact because of those thin sections. Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) allows measurements of texture in 3D re...
متن کاملNonlinear 3D Face Morphable Model
As a classic statistical model of 3D facial shape and texture, 3D Morphable Model (3DMM) is widely used in facial analysis, e.g., model fitting, image synthesis. Conventional 3DMM is learned from a set of well-controlled 2D face images with associated 3D face scans, and represented by two sets of PCA basis functions. Due to the type and amount of training data, as well as the linear bases, the ...
متن کاملA hybrid color texture image classification method based on 2D and semi 3D texture features and extreme learning machine
Color texture classification is an important step in image segmentation and recognition. The color information is especially important in textures of natural scenes. In this paper, we propose a novel approach based on the 2D and semi 3D texture feature coding method (TFCM) for color texture classification. While 2D TFCM features are extracted on gray scale converted color texture images, the se...
متن کامل3D Texture Analysis in Renal Cell Carcinoma Tissue Image Grading
One of the most significant processes in cancer cell and tissue image analysis is the efficient extraction of features for grading purposes. This research applied two types of three-dimensional texture analysis methods to the extraction of feature values from renal cell carcinoma tissue images, and then evaluated the validity of the methods statistically through grade classification. First, we ...
